I gave up drinking for my mental health, and to be a better, more present husband and father. That decision is the whole reason this site exists — because the moment I stopped drinking, I went looking for something to replace it, and ran straight into a problem.

One review was never going to be enough

Every alcohol-free review I could find online came from the same place: people who'd already decided AF drinks were great, writing for other people who'd already decided the same thing. What I actually wanted was a verdict from someone who'd spent decades drinking the real thing — someone who could tell me straight whether this actually tastes like a proper IPA, or whether I was better off saving my money.

A verdict from a lifelong drinker means something different to me, weeks sober, than it does to someone who's never touched a drop and is just curious. People deserve to hear from someone in the same boat as them — not just the loudest advocates.

That's the whole engine behind this site. Every review here is tagged by who wrote it, so you can weigh it against your own situation instead of taking one stranger's word as gospel.

A passion project, like most of them
